Since 2013, Formech & EFI have forged a strong partnership to showcase the ground-breaking benefits of stretchable inks, digital pre-printing and deep-draw thermoforming. With successful collaborations at ISA, K-Show, FESPA and Sign & Digital events throughout the USA and Europe, Formech and EFI continue to enhance and reinforce their complementary processes.
Formech joined CMYUK, specialised in superwide Digital Printing Technology, at Sign & Digital UK in Birmingham 19-21 April 2016 and accompanied EFI at ISA Sign Expo in Orlando, Florida 20-23 April 2016.
Both booths were a hive of activity with live demonstrations featuring the latest and greatest in print technology.
Formech’s 300XQ featured on the CMYUK booth and Formech’s 508FS featured on the ISA booth to demonstrate the incredible benefits of EFI’s thermoformable inks which can stretch up to 1,000%. Vacuum forming of digital pre-printed materials brings new advantages to the signage sector by offering faster project turnaround times, consistently high quality and the opportunity to de-skill the process.

The substrate can be printed on either the first or second surface on a variety of materials e.g. HIPS, ABS, PC, PVC, PETG, HDPE, PP and PMMA. The 300XQ and 508FS are the perfect machines for demonstrating the principles of vacuum forming within the confines of the exhibition hall, although most enquiries were for Formech’s larger semi-automatic machines.
